Deception, temptation, murder, and persecution
This message has been written to promote a true life of faith for all believers who pursue the hope of the kingdom of heaven.
Over the 6,000 years of God’s history, the messengers (pastors) and followers of God have been persecuted, expelled from their churches or towns, and even murdered by the pastors and followers of the devil for proclaiming the truth. Through the prophecies of the New Testament God, Jesus, and Jesus’ apostles are telling us that this work of persecution will continue at the time of Jesus’ second coming.
The persecution that occurred in the time of the Old Testament is mentioned in several New Testament verses (i.e. Matt 23:33-36; Lk 20:9-15; Acts 7:51-53; 1 Jn 3:12). The persecution that occurred at the time of the first coming is also mentioned in several places (i.e. Matt 27; Acts 7:54-60; Jn 16:1-4). According to all these verses, Jesus’ disciples were expelled from their towns and even murdered.
The persecution of the time of the second coming was also prophesied in the following: Matt 5:10-12; Matt 7:1-5; Jn 15:18-24; Rev 6; Rev 8; Rev 9; Rev 11; Rev 13, etc. These passages prophesy about the spiritual and physical death of God’s people. These prophecies will be fulfilled in our generation. Anyone who persecutes and murders God’s people belongs to the devil; those who are persecuted and murdered because of the word of testimony onto which they hold belong to Jesus. No one who knows the Bible can deny this.
Forgiveness, love, and blessings come from God (Matt 5-6; 1 Jn 4:7-21). Persecution, curses, and murder, on the other hand, come from the devil.
Right now God’s people are being persecuted, especially over the Internet. The following is a summary of the current situation.
Several pastors and their congregation members, claiming to be orthodox, have posted slanderous comments about Shinchonji on the Internet. Shinchonji and its people, in contrast, speak words of forgiveness, love, and blessings. We pray for those who persecute us, just as Stephen did at the time of the first coming (Matt 5:39-48; Acts 7:54-60). God has given us his only son to atone for our sins. Jesus befriended sinners and gave up his life for us. If we claim to be followers of God and Jesus, shouldn’t we act the way acted? Only when we pursue forgiveness, love, and blessings, can we become true believers and be united with the Lord. Those who have united themselves with the Lord are one with him in spirit (1 Cor 6:17). Remember also that trees are recognized by their fruit (Matt 7:15-21).
Shinchonji has been established to instruct and testify about the Bible to evildoers like Cain (1 Jn 3:12), who perform evil deeds because they do not understand the will of God. Anyone who is deceived and turns his or her back on God after reading the slanderous words of persecution on the Internet does not truly believe in Jesus and his words. Where in the Bible does it say that believers should persecute and deceive their fellow believers? Where does it tell people to listen these kinds of comments and be deceived? We must fight these spiritual battles with the scriptures (Eph 6:10-20). Earthly justice systems distinguish good from evil, right from wrong, using books of law. Spiritually, good and evil, truth and lies, must be distinguished through the scriptures (1 Kin 3:9-11; Mal 3:18).
Just as those who unite themselves with the spirit of Christ are one with him in spirit (1 Cor 6:17), those who unite themselves with the spirit of the devil are one with the devil in spirit. An angel in the spiritual world became the devil, who opposes God, when he sinned and was expelled from heaven (Isa 14:12-15; Rev 12:7-9). The spirits and flesh that have sinned after coming to Shinchonji have also been expelled. Since then, they have become the troops of the devil and have begun to oppose Shinchonji. These opposing spirits and flesh are the physical fulfillment of antichrists who have appeared in this generation (1 Jn 2:18-19). This is a challenge to all believers’ faith. Anyone who claims to believe in God’s word of promise (i.e. the New Testament) must have faith in the physical fulfillment – even in the appearance of the antichrists. All God’s prophecies must be fulfilled; their physical fulfillment must appear. When they are fulfilled, we can hear the testimony of their fulfillment with our own ears and see the fulfillment with our own eyes (1 Jn 1:1-4).
Examining the 6,000 years of the biblical history, who truly orthodox and who was truly heretical? In every generation it was the well-established denominations, proud of their traditions, that persecuted all new teachings as heresy. Later, however, it was always those denominations that were revealed to be the true cults, while the new teachings they had been persecuting turned out to be God’s newly orthodox churches. Noah’s world was the new orthodoxy when it emerged from Adam’s world with its long-held traditions. Moses’ world was the new orthodoxy when it emerged from Noah’s (Canaan’s) world. Jesus’ world was the new orthodoxy when it emerged from Moses’ world. Let us all believe the true will of God as it is expressed in the Bible to attain salvation!
Shinchonji Church of Jesus is testifying about the New Testament and its physical fulfillment. Shinchonji has been helping its people have proper faith, and has been working to correct any and all misunderstandings of the Bible. We, in Shinchonji, pray that all nations will be understand, believe, and healed by the truth so that they can receive salvation (Rev 22:1-2).
